At Linden Botanicals, we understand that privacy matters to our customers, and we take a number of steps to ensure your private information is protected. The following policy is intended to inform you about what types of information are being gathered and how it is used. Do we collect personal information?

We do not collect any personal information about you unless you voluntarily provide it to us. You may be providing that information when you elect to use certain products or services. These elections on your part may include registering for an account, entering a contest or sweepstakes, signing up for special offers, sending us an e-mail or other message, submitting your credit card or other payment information when ordering, and purchasing products or services.

We use the personal information that you have provided to process and deliver the products that you have ordered. The information that you provide helps us respond to your requests and support your needs, so we may use it to improve our customer service.

The email address you provide when you place your order may be used to send you information and updates pertaining to your order, as well as occasional special offers, educational information, updates, and related product or service information.

Security of information

We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information. All supplied sensitive/credit information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our payment gateway provider database only to be accessible by those authorized with special access rights to such systems and those who are required to keep the information confidential. No part of your financial information is ever stored on any Linden Botanicals computer or server. We currently use Stripe to process credit cards online. Immediately after you place an online order, your credit card information is transmitted directly to the Stripe payment gateway. Your credit card number is not visible to any Linden Botanicals employee throughout the entire order process. We cannot guarantee that only authorized persons will view your information. We are not responsible for third-party circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures.

What about cookies?

We use cookies and other technologies to function effectively. These technologies record information about your use of our website, including:

  • Browser and device data, such as IP address, device type, operating system and Internet browser type, screen resolution, operating system name and version, device manufacturer and model, language, plug-ins, and add-ons;
  • Usage data, such as time spent on the website, pages visited, links clicked, language preferences, and the pages that led or referred you to our website.

We use Google Analytics on our website to help us analyze your use of our website and diagnose technical issues. 

Online postings

Certain personally identifiable information collected from users may be disclosed as a matter of course because of those users’ use of the website. We may provide areas on our website where you can post reviews, comments and other information relating to your activities on the website. Such postings are governed by our Terms of Use

It is possible that such postings may appear on other websites or when searches are executed on the subject of your posting. Whenever you voluntarily disclose personal information on publicly viewable web pages, that information will be publicly available and can be collected and used by others.

Selling your personal information

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. We do not use, share, rent, or sell your personal for data interest-based advertising. We do not sell your buying habits. We do not sell or rent your personal data, period.

We may share your personal data with trusted parties who assist us in operating our website (such as our hosting service), conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. For example, we may share your name and address with USPS to confirm that your order was delivered. We may also release your information when we believe it is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our website policies, or protect our or others’ rights, property, or safety.

 

Non-personally identifiable website visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses. An example of this provision would be when we use a service that gathers statistics about the number of times pages on our website are visited or the number of clicks certain ads receive. 

 

We reserve the future right to transfer personally identifiable information in our possession to a successor organization in the event of a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, or other sale of all or a portion of our assets. Other than to the extent ordered by a bankruptcy or other court, the use and disclosure of all transferred personally identifiable information will be subject to this privacy policy, or to a new privacy policy if you are given notice of that new privacy policy and are given an opportunity to affirmatively opt out of it. The Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”) protects the online privacy of children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect or maintain personal information from anyone under the age of 13, unless or except as permitted by law. Any person who provides personal information through the website represents to us that he or she is 13 years of age or older.

We reserve the right to amend this Privacy Policy at any time in order to address future developments of our business or changes in industry or legal trends. If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on this page and update the Privacy Policy modification date below.
