Diseases Caused by Ticks Are on the Rise – Try Phyllanthus niruri Tea

Learn about Diseases Caused by Ticks -- Tick-Borne Diseases and Lyme Disease -- Linden Botanicals

Many people are struggling with diseases caused by ticks. Drinking all-natural Phyllanthus niruri herbal tea may help.

Diseases caused by ticks are on the rise in the United States and other parts of the world. The most common ticks are the wood tick and the black-legged tick, which cause most tick-borne diseases. Tick bites can infect people with bacteria, viruses, and parasites they carry, breeding a range of diseases and infections.

Here, I’ll take a look at some of the tick-borne diseases that are most prevalent today.

Prevalent Diseases Caused by Ticks

  • Lyme Disease

Caused by Borrelia burgdorferi, Lyme disease is a bacterial infection is the most common of the diseases caused by ticks. It has  potentially adverse effects on humans and animals. It is the most prevalent tick-borne disease in the United States. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, approximately 476,000 American citizens contract Lyme disease annually.

  • Anaplasmosis

Formerly known as human granulocytic ehrlichiosis (HGE), anaplasmosis is a bacterial infection transmitted to humans by black-legged ticks. The bacteria attack the white blood cells, lowering one’s immunity to fight against diseases. Its symptoms often become evident one to three weeks after the tick bite. Some of the notable signs of the infection are frequent fever, chills, muscle aches, headaches, and stomach pain.

  • Tularemia

Tularemia is sometimes referred to as rabbit fever since it mostly affects rabbits and rodents. Human cases of the illness are rare, but it is very contagious and life-threatening if left untreated. It causes skin ulcers, fever, and swelling in glands (lymph nodes).

Other diseases caused by ticks include ehrlichiosis, Powassan virus disease, and babesiosis.

Supporting Treatment for Diseases Caused by Ticks with Phyllanthus niruri Tea

Despite the explosion of knowledge in tick biology, genetics, and immunology, public health measures to combat tick-borne diseases have been largely unsuccessful. In addition, the U.S Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has raised serious concerns about the side effects of antibiotics in treating tick-borne infections. Therefore, new approaches to both tick and pathogen control are needed.

Phyllanthus niruri herbal tea and extract is rich in bioactive compounds that have great significance in treating various diseases. Also known as Chanca Piedra, Phyllanthus niruri has anti-inflammatory properties that can support the treatment of symptoms of Lyme diseases. Moreover, the tea contains antibacterial compounds that can help fight against the bacteria causing tick-borne illnesses.
